About
The Philadelphia Citywide is a print publication with the mission of connecting readers across the best city in the world by reviving good old print culture. We want to be an antidote to the doomscroll, machine-powered, isolationist spirit of our time, a catalyst for community activism and artistic connection. We are a left-of-center magazine; however, we want to encourage discourse and shy from black-and-white thinking. We welcome brave perspectives and ideas, playful and serious, in curating a quarterly zine that captures a sliver of this city’s bizarro indomitable spirit.
The Citywide Team
Amelia is a writer, musician, and bartender who loves this city for its people, trees, and freeform radio. She lives by South Street where she is a devoted attendant to her cat Vermouth (@vermouths_world on IG). She reviews and edits your submissions and helps with zine design and layout.
Larissa is a musician, organizer and gardener with a smoking hot husband and two malevolent cats. She helps run the Citywide's external communications via social media or email, organizes events, and reviews submissions as well as writing her own. She loves professional wrestling and once deadlifted 225 pounds although she doesn't think she could do it again.
Lauren (aka MOONPR1SM) is an artist, musician & static website enthusiast living in South Philly with her partner and two cats. She makes graphics for the zine, works on the layout, manages our website and keeps track of when we need to re-up on ink and paper. Herald is her weird little son.
